We are not here to prove who’s right about God. We are here to become Love.

One of humanity’s oldest illusions is that God takes sides.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how deeply divided humanity has become over ideas of God, Truth, and who’s “right.”

It strikes me that one of the greatest challenges we’ve faced since the beginning is the belief that our view of God is the correct one, and that the millions or billions who see it differently are somehow wrong. That never made sense to me.

At the heart of every true spiritual teaching is Love, universal and unconditional. Yet we’ve created wars, hierarchies, and endless arguments over whose God is real, whose scripture is pure, whose path is “approved.”

The truth is, it’s the ego that needs to be right. It’s the ego that clings to belief systems, that strives to improve, prove, and defend its position in the world. But when we touch the deep stillness that is of God, the Presence beneath thought and identity, all of that quiets.

In that stillness, we begin to feel the vast, unconditional Love that has been here all along. The more we surrender the noise of self-importance, the more space there is for that Love to move through us, undistorted.

Becoming a vessel for that Love on this human plane is the greatest service we can offer. Not creating a world where the ego feels special or spiritually superior, but allowing the small self to soften into the vastness of what already is.

Becoming “no one” in the eyes of the world, yet fully alive in the heart of Love, may be the greatest gift we can give.

Maybe it’s time to start asking less about who’s right, and more about what Love is asking of us in this moment.
